Life with a Puppy VIII –

This week was exciting for Lana. Well at least I would have found it exciting if I was a puppy. But Lana seems to be pretty chilled out about everything. So this was probably a normal week for her… This little puppy has adapted to my ever changing, never the same, unsteady lifestyle so easily and I love it. She doesn’t mind any changes of locations, sleeps anywhere, is well behaved (mostly), patient and happy to drive (most of the time…we only had one vomit attack this week so this is a good sign!). It totally doesn’t matter if we sleep in a hotel or at a friends place and how long we are driving. As long as I am with her and Bino accompanies us everything is fine. And she is even getting better by herself without Bino!

We started the week in Berlin and little Lana had some super fun playdates at the Tempelhofer Feld, which she loved big time. So many dogs and soooooo much to do and play! She plays with tiny and big dogs, puppy and grown up. She is super understanding when grown up dogs tell her off and accepts that super easily. When playing with other puppies she sometimes cannot handle her strength and is playing too powerful…but she is definitely learning.
Although when looking at her behaviour and the strength when playing with other pups I am convinced, the idea not to go to a puppy school was a good one. She would mainly be stronger than other puppies and learn to only dominate others. Instead we make her meet lots of other dogs, take care of a good and social behaviour and she learns to play with stronger and weaker dogs without dominating anybody. She plays even and fair and is super friendly. Sometimes even a bit too much…so at the moment we are also training that meeting other dogs on the leash is not allowed…which Lana totally doesn’t understand. She wants to say hello to eeeeeverybody!

On Tuesday we left Berlin and drove to the Lausitz in Saxony to visit a friend with her baby. Our walks there must have looked interesting to others…2 girls, 1 baby, and not 2 or 3 but 4 dogs. But they got along so well and although it must have looked chaotic they were well behaved and (mostly) did what they were told to…
Lana got wet feet in the lake for the first time and it looked like she was having loads of fun! Water is fine she thinks…but waves are suuuuuper scary…

By the end of the week we drove back home to Ingo as I had a job coming up and we completed our 1.o00 km in a week – the dogs slept nearly all the way and were their lovely selfs all day.

In other news Lana started teething this week and looks a bit like a rabbit now as the first real teeth which grew were front teeth.
