At the beaches of the Algarve –

Enjoying the moment...

This year has been exciting and busy for me and I would be lying if I said I didn’t like it. I cannot sit still and do nothing, I am always on the move and have plans…

But I do need some moments to relax, calm down and breath in and out.
Beginning of October I went to Portugal to participate in the Photographic Mind Trip with Pia Clodi and Roland Faistenberger.
And this was pretty much the point my stress level went so high that I felt like I needed a break…The night before my flight I felt like instead of boarding a plane I’d rather stay a whole day in bed and do nothing. But I got up, flew to Lisbon and drove down to the Algarve.
And Portugal’s stunning landscapes made me relax more and more with every kilometre I drove. I forgot about how less I felt like going anywhere this morning, I forgot about everything on my to do list… I just looked around and drove on little country roads instead of the big freeway.
You stole my heart, Portugal!

And the next day I had a whole day to myself! I haven’t had that in quite some time so I had planned so much. And do you know what I’ve done? –I sat on the beach all day long. Doing nothing, recharging batteries was all I’ve done.
I love the beach. Sand between my toes, the wind, the sound of the ocean…there is nothing better I think. It makes me relax and slow down so well…
And it makes me dream…one day, oh one day I will live at the beach!

And I will surely return to Portugal! Next time most likely with some more days off…
