Bec and Alysha just recently moved to Melbourne from Queensland and they are loving it down here as much as I do…We initially met at a gallery and immediately connected and a few weeks later I found myself visiting them and their absolutely adorable Boxer girl Charli at home to take photos of these two wonderful girls and their amazing dog!
And yes – I did walk into the house and said hello to the dog first…but, who could resist that cute face?
We started of our In Love Session at the house of Bec and Alysha and in my eyes that is a wonderful and intimate way to start every engagement shoot…it is just so much more intimate and special and it will always remind the portrayed couple of the home they lived in when the photos were taken. And especially if there is a dog involved, it is great to start from home as then the fur baby can get used to me in a nice and relaxed manner…
Well…let’s travel back to Bec and Alysha’s In Love Session:
It’s one of those warm, late summer days in Melbourne and as I also live in Thornbury, their house is just around the corner. After a lot (yes, I haven’t seen my dogs for way too long…) of dog cuddles and a coffee we get started…and I capture these two amazing girls and Charlie while curling up on the couch…after a while Charli demands a walk and we head out to explore the neighbourhood together.
All my images focus on the connection between two people and the emotions they experience when they are together. I want to capture what is special and unique about each couple and I focus my engagement photos on that.
So we just went for a casual walk and made use of beautiful walls and structures in the area and ended up in a little park…it was a perfect Sunday afternoon!
