Documentary Family Photography Footscray –
A Newborn Photo Shoot With The Whole Family
You might remember Ying Qi and her husband Anh form the lovely engagement session we have shot about 1.5 years ago in the Dandenong Ranges…Well, fast forward to this year: They are now married and have a wonderful daughter!
When I came to Melbourne this year I heard the news through Instagram and we met shortly after for a family photo session as Ying Qi’s family was over for a first visit after little Hannah had been born.
As in every family and newborn photo session I shoot I used the same approach with this beautiful family, too…unposed and natural style family photos to capture real and honest moments of family life. Of course the one or the other posed shot of the whole family happened, too, but most of the photo story are images of the moments as they happened.
I strongly believe that unposed and candid family photography is the key to everlasting memories in the photos as the moments captured will take you right back into the moment the image was shot whenever you look back at it…
So I visited this young family at their home in Footscray and as Hannah was hungry and sleepy we started off with a looooong and good feast for her and afterwards the whole family: mum and dad with little baby Hannah, granddad and grandma and aunties and uncle to the little one. With little Hannah around this marked three generations in the photoshoot and I was able to capture some great family photos!
