Winter Weddings are wonderful. And winter mountain weddings are the best.
I love it up in the mountains and the snow makes it more peaceful and pretty than it is anyway up there.
This is pretty much where this all started… Getting married in the mountains is wonderful and I wanted to create an inspiration for it.
Having met Verena and Christian last summer I thought, I might ask them if they’d be up for being my models for a shoot. And they were up for that.
The planning developed and this became much more than a style shoot.
Being at least as much dog loving as we are Verena and Christian brought their dogs Mocca (the frenchie) and Angel (the husky). This is where this wedding inspiration gets personal. Angel is already 15 years old and Verena was a bit worried, he might not be around for the real wedding photos of them… Of course a dog owner doesn’t always think abou their furbabies leaving but from time to time this is coming into our heads…I can understand this very well – I sometimes think the same about Bino…
And so this shoot made a little dream come true for this lovely family with two amazing dogs. Here are very special and unique pre-wedding photos with the 4 of them. What a family – I am in love!
Verena and I decided on the wonderful dresses of Stephanie Wolff Paris together, Christian and I picked the suit and his accessories. Our lovely florist made a bridal wrench for Verena as she wanted to wear one…
Michaela Römer, my absolute favourite when it comes to handmade jewellery, made stunning wedding bands and cufflinks which fit Christian perfectly. I mean what is better for a fashion and music blogger to wear then cufflinks with headphones on them? These bespoke jewellery was just a perfect match for Christian and Verena.
I think this is a great example how whimsical and special a winter wedding in the Alps can be…and I would love to get more of this! Mountains, snow, dogs and a couple in love – one of my favourite combinations…

hey there – do you know who the florist was for this shoot? thanks!
Yes, they are linked in the text… Her name is Desirée Malaschitz.
