Stunning Vineyard Wedding at Weingut Fitz-Wagner –
An amazing summer wedding in Southern Germany
Elise and Klaus booked me more than a year in advance of their wedding day and right from the first email we exchanged I did feel like we are already friends. When we finally met up for a coffee and to get to know each other in person in Heidelberg we laughed so much and had a great time together… And Finn, their little boy was just the cutest baby ever – he wasn’t even afraid of Bino =)
Their wedding day at the Weingut Fitz Ritter which is a vineyard where they produce traditional and very good wine, was perfectly chosen. As they had quite a few guests with children coming it was clear that the kids needed to have peace and room to play and be kids, too. And the huge garden and park of the vineyard provided space for this as well as many spots for lounge chairs and seats for the grown ups…
And as the 27.08.2016 was the warmest day of our summer in Germany, all the wedding guests enjoyed the shaded spots and cold drinks in the garden a lot.
Elise, her bridesmaids, myself and Marion, the stylist, had a wonderful and relaxed getting ready at Fitz Ritter and so nobody had to travel or worry about timing after getting ready… And I did love the contrast the walls in the girls room gave my images. It was challenging and fun to work in the improvised location as we had to move away from the wedding suite upstairs which in the end turned out as quite lucky when I go through the images I took…
Ingo joined Klaus and his best man for the getting ready and for me the results proof again, how glad I am about his assistance and the luxury of having an assistant by my side. But wait till we can show you his fusion video of Elises and Klaus’ wedding, this will be ready soon, too…
Oh and the lovely cake Elise and Klaus had (which tasted absolutely delightful) was a present of Elise’s bridesmaid which left me really impressed… She loves to bake and this was her first wedding cake – chapeau!
Shortly before dinner we took off for a little sunrise portrait session as the light was truly wonderful…we drove up the hills which are surrounded by vines and had a perfect view over the whole area of Bad Dürkheim and the Pfalz.
And after everybody was contempt with food and the bar opened up, bride and groom opened up the dance floor for a wild party which went on until the early morning…
I loved all the dance moves and the 90s feeling and was truly tempted to party with the wedding guests after finishing work…
