Dream Wedding at Schloss Neetzow –
Stylish Gay Wedding at Castle Just North of Berlin
In June I was part of the wonderful summer wedding of Christian and Philipp at the castle of Neetzow. In northern Germany, where the country is flat, we arrived at the beautiful castle on a Friday afternoon to join the couple and their guests for a pre-wedding BBQ. Everybody arrived in their own time and it was a very relaxed evening and night. Having a relaxed start to a wedding and all your guests at the venue a day before the big day so nobody is stressed is one of the many reasons I love wedding weekends.
Oh – and speaking of “we” I mean Ingo, Bino and myself. Yep – Bino was invited, too! This was so awesome and lovely so this wedding is clearly my favorite wedding so far! You know, I am extra happy when Bino is with me and it was so nice to shoot a wedding and having my lovely dog running around with all the other pups who were invited, too (I believe there were 7). It was just perfect – the children of the guests and all the dogs played in the park and enjoyed the weekend as much as all the grown ups. For me this is definitely a goal I have for my own wedding: getting married with dogs around!
Saturday was just a perfect wedding day – all wedding guests who arrived from Cologne, all over Germany, Australia, Denmark and so many other places, joined the civil ceremony of the two grooms. Afterwards there were nibbles to be had, congratulations given and of course everybody raised their glasses for the amazing newlyweds! This was the perfect start to a relaxed afternoon which ended in a great dinner in the beautifully decorated tent. Inside the castle the guests were dancing untill the morning hours of Sunday.
After a yummy breakfast at the venue the guests were slowly saying their goodbyes and left – their hearts and heads full of emotions and memories to a spectacular wedding.
But now enjoy the pictures of a truly amazing day:
